IP Pro Tech History
In 2004, IP Pro Tech was founded in Aloha, OR by Software Engineer, Intel fixture, OIT Grad, and all-around good guy; Lyle Warnke. IP Pro Tech became the place for Lyle’s friends to come exercise their minds during Intel’s layoff periods in the 2000’s.
In the beginning IP Pro Tech specialized in the design, sales and configuration of advanced IP video systems for large enterprise type clients: Government Agencies, Hospitals, Universities, Municipalities, Seaports, etc. IP Pro Tech’s trademark video systems were best of breed solutions that consisted of powerful, custom built Windows recording servers, embedded with Milestone Video Management Software and paired with the top tier camera makers Axis, Panasonic & Sony. Not only were these original IP Pro Tech systems higher performing than the common analog systems being sold at the time; They were reliable, fully scalable, upgradeable and lasting well beyond their projected return on investment had been met. IP Pro Tech was on to something, and purchasing Managers were pleased.
In 2008, IP Pro Tech recruited Reid Murray to come on as an Account Manager. Reid’s experience at a commercial door shop was an excellent addition to IP Pro Tech’s existing model of designing robust, server-based IP networks with software application controls. This pairing made offering electronic access control systems a natural choice. IP Pro Tech soon entered a partner program with Paxton Access that continues today.
In 2010, Intel needed Lyle in Santa Clara and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Lyle facilitated a stock transfer to: Senior Account Manager, friend, and IP Pro Tech loyalist, Reid Murray. By this time, IP video systems had become more common, more affordable, and easier to set up. They were being sold and installed by several companies in the region. To remain competitive, IP Pro Tech evolved from a boutique design & sales firm into a full blown specialty trades contractor.
Since 2010, IP Pro Tech has opened a commercial door division and become specialized in installing wireless infrastructure.
Today, IP Pro Tech is a Professional Security Contractor with locations just Outside of Portland, OR and Salt Lake City, Utah.
